Working on a freelance basis enables me to help and work with businesses that are growing but have yet to reach a size requiring a full time Financial Director.
By working closely with entrepreneurs I can gain an understanding of the business and make a positive contribution to their growth. Services include Management Accounting, Statutory Accounting, Corporation Tax, Budgeting and Cashflow Forecasting. Experience means I understand what lenders and investors may be looking for and how to present a winning business case. Management Accounting systems must be designed to meet the needs of the user and must help with decision making. In the current climate short term Cashflow Forecasting is crucial to many businesses and I have to introduced simple but effective procedures for this to many businesses.
I am a highly experienced senior finance professional; qualified ACA in 1988 through KPMG with a degree in Business Economics and Accounting. FCA status was granted in 1998. My strengths are in SME growth and development with experience both as an accountant in practice and industry.
With over 20 years experience of Sage accounting products and in particular Sage Line 50 I am ideally placed to work with the many small businesses running these systems.
